Avril Lavigne is a Canadian pop rock singer.  By the age of 15 she had already appeared on stage with Shania Twain.  She signed a two-album recording contract by the time she was 16.  Her first album “Let Go” was released when Lavigne was 17.  With more than 30 million copies sold worldwide she is one of the top-selling artist releasing albums.

She debut with her album “Let Go” in 2002.  With this album she became the youngest female soloist to reach No. 1 in the UK.  It was four-times platinum, reaching over 18 million copies sold by 2009.  Her second album “Under My Skin”, released in 2004, was her first album to peak at No. 1 on the U.S. charts, and has sold over 10 million copies.  In 2007 “The Best Damn Thing” was released.  The album also reached No. 1 in the UK.  In March 2011 Avril released her fourth album “Goodbye Lullaby”; this was her fourth album to reach the top 10 album in the U.S.

As Avril Lavigne branched out from music she has voiced a role in the film Over the Hedge, as well as Fast Food Nation.  With acting in movies she has also written songs for movies including Alice in Wonderland.  She also announced her clothing line, Abbey Dawn, in 2008.  With her success in music, films, and clothing line she also has three perfumes.  Black Rose which was released in 2009, followed by Forbidden Rose, and Wild Rose in 2011.
