OTEP

Otep, also written as OTEP or OT3P is an American heavy metal band formed in 2000 in Los Angeles, California.  Formed by Otep Shamaya, the lead vocals.  Other members of the band include Markus Estrada on guitar, Rani Sharone on bass, and Gil Sharone on drums.  The band has many past guitarist, bassist, and drummers. 

The band got their start playing Ozzfest, where they have played several times since.  Otep has released five albums since 2002.  On June 18, 2002 they brought “Sevas Tra” to the table and it made it to number 145 on the U.S. charts.  “House of Secrets” followed on July 27 of 2004, which made it to number 93 on the U.S. charts.  On October 30, 2007 Otep released “The Ascension”, this album made it to number 81 on the U.S. charts.  In August of 2009 “Smash the Control Machine” was released, and made it to number 47 on the U.S. charts.  Their most recent album, released in April of 2011, is “Atavist”, which only made it to number 61 on the U.S. charts.

Out of the five albums there were a total of eleven singles including, “Blood Pigs”, “Possession”, “War Head”,” Ghostflowers" , "March of the Martyrs", "Breed",  "Confrontation", "Smash the Control Machine", "Rise, Rebel, Resist, "Fists Fall", "Not to Touch the Earth".
